After the Event: Paper Mache Puppies

As part of Sustainable September the South Perth Library organised a kids craft activity using recyclable materials. Local paper mache artist, Sally Watts showed the 13 children how to attach the puppy head to the body and then cover it all with paper mache. The puppies were made using old newspapers and advertising flyers, cardboard boxes  and protective packaging.

Once the creations had dried for a week, the group gathered again to paint and decorate the puppies. Some of the new breeds sprouted wings and polka dots 🙂

Fun was had by all, including the Mums, Dads, Uncles and Aunts who attended.

We have had some interest from adults wanting to give this a go – please leave a comment if you are interested too 🙂
