Do you have an eBook reader? Would like to download FREE books? Well now at public libraries across WA you can download eBooks striaght from the internet to your computer and other devices. This service will not work on Kindles.
On the website, it has a list of compatible devices that can be used to download books onto.
In order to download eBooks, you will need a library card and internet connection. Sign in by selecting the library you are a member of and then type in your card number. You will then come to ‘your account’. You can choose the loaning period you would like to borrow the book titles for, up to 3 weeks.
You can now begin your search of books you would like. On the left hand side, you can select between fiction, non fiction, kids etc and different genres.
Click on ‘Add to Cart’ if you would like to download a title. You have 30 minutes to download the item before it gets returned back to the libraries collection. If you are happy with your selection, then Proceed to Checkout. You are allowed 5 items per card. After 3 weeks, if you dont return the item, the item will expire on your device.
You can also place books on reserve, these are the books that say ‘Place a Hold’
Best of all there are no late fees and is available 24/7!!
